Veep expresses worry over delay in reconstruction activities.

Apr 1, 2016- Vice-president Nanda Bahadur Pun has expressed grave concern over the delay in post-quake reconstruction tasks, although nearly a year has passed since the earthquake struck country in last April.
Speaking at inaugural ceremony of inter-district conference of Federation of Computer Association Nepal in Kavre on Friday, VP Pun urged concerned stakeholders to work so as to provide relief to the people. He said that he has also drawn prime minister’s attention on this matter.
“A monsoon and winter has already passed and another monsoon is onset, yet people are forced to live under zinc sheets,” he said, “We had expected that the reconstruction works will be carried out in speed manner, but it did not happen.”
He also mentioned that even donor agencies and friend nations that had extended support to quake victims are unhappy with the slow-paced reconstruction activities of the government.
In a different context, VP Pun said that government should prioritise development of technology as it is crucial to the development of the country.
